Unofficial transcripts can be viewed through Campus Information Services [Academic Records→View Unofficial Transcript]. Note these are available for students to better understand their own course history and to aid in planning for graduation—they are not intended to verify academic work for third parties.
Login to CIS. In the Student Section, go to Student Homepage. Click on the Tasks tile. Look for the hold reason, then follow instructions to contact the appropriate office to release the hold. If you have additional questions, please feel free to reach out the Law Registrar.

- For students in other University of Utah graduate programs interested in taking LAW courses:
- See our Non-Law student registration form and contact the Law Registrar with any questions. Non-Law students are not allowed to register for first year law courses (catalog # 6000-6180).
- If you are interested in auditing a course as a non-degree student:
- Note that auditing a single course requires an application and both instructor and administrative approval. Contact the Law Registrar for additional information. Non-degree students are not allowed to register for first year law courses (catalog # 6000-6180).
- Interested in taking classes as an HB60 student?
- While LAW classes are not part of this program, we encourage you to visit the Continuing Education website for a list of courses.
J.D. students may elect to take one (1) advanced non-required course for CR/NC. Students may not exercise the CR/NC option in any College of Law required course (e.g., Constitutional Law II, Legal Profession, courses taken to fulfill the Seminar Writing Requirement, experiential courses taken to fulfill the Experiential Learning Requirement, or any course that a student will count toward a certificate in specialized study. To receive credit, students must earn a grade of C- or better. Students must elect the CR/NC course using the College of Law form sent to the Registrar no later than 5:00 p.m. on the last regularly scheduled class day of the semester.
For Spring 2023, the CR/NC form will be available April 10 and due by 5pm on April 17.
